Church News

July 10, 2018

Oh my!! How quickly 3 years have flown by!! I can't even remember all the good things God has done for us here at Hilldale since the last time I've posted to the news. I CAN say that God has still been faithful through every circumstance and trial. Right now, we are in the midst of our summer camps, so we are all very, very busy!! Several new chapters have opened and closed in our own lives. Two of the major changes are worth mentioning here on the news. My youngest daughter was healed in 2016 of an incurable disease!! She had the faith to stop all her meds, believing that God would heal her if she did. God did not disappoint!! She is completely healed to this day!! To God be the Glory! The other major change is that my eldest daughter, Ashleigh, got married on May 11,2018 to a wonderful young man, Kyle Lewis, whom we think the world of! We are so proud for them, even though the house still feels abit lonely without my baby coming home every day from work. I'm excited to see how God uses Kyle and Ashleigh in the future for His glory. There have been so many other things happen in these few years that there is no way I could talk abotu them all or you would be here reading all night! So for now, our prayer is that you'll find the encouragment, strength and peace you need to help you on this journey called life.

                                                                                                        God Bless, Sis. Stephanie

The Lord is Faithful!! It has been a wonderful 2 years since I have posted any news!! There has been so much going on that its hard to find time to update. Im so glad to say that the church is busy with all kinds of ministries. Besides our normal Sunday and Wednesday night services, we also are involved in several other areas. We have Youth ball on Tuesday nights, Sidewalk Sunday School on Thursday nights from summer to the end of fall, Young at Heart dinners once a month, Salvation Army services twice a month, Nursing Home services twice a month, and two different jail services that some of our people are involved in and Youth Rallys on the first Friday night of each month. A busy church is a healthy church!! Now you see why I never have time to get online to work on website :) The Lord has truly blessed us with church growth and with that, some awesome workers!! To God be the Glory!! We pray you come to know the Peace that only Christ can give !! God Bless!!

February 10, 2013

OK, so i guess I need to apologize again :) Keep thinking I'll stay on top of this website thing but never seem to do it!! This has been an amazing year in the Lord! We just came out of a youth revival and my, what a time we had. This year has brought several new changes to our routine of things. As of September, we brought in a new Youth Pastor Family, Bro. Matt, Sis. Stephanie and Olivia Wagers. We are so blessed to have them, they are doing a wonderful job. In October, we started a new youth function and named it "Y2K' (youth working 2gether for the king) on the second Friday night of each month. It involves skits, blacklight, games, preaching and ends with an alter call. Each month we have seen the Lord move and the number is growing every month. The first one, we had 54 people, then 76, then 93 and last night we had 141!!! We are so excited what God is doing. Bro. DeWayne and Sis. Jillanna Holden came and held us a youth revival and ended on Y2K night and had a wonderful alter service!! As we held our annual church meeting Sunday might, each department gave their financial report and Bro. Nathan got up with the final report, for the year of 2012 we had 21 people get saved!! Unfortunatly, a few have turned back but the majority has stayed and we are looking for the rest to return, and more. God is moving at Hilldale Holiness Church!!

Jan. 24, 2012

Here I am to apologize once more for not keeping my pages updated. As we all know, life slows down for no one! How quickly time flies when your having fun. :~)  We have been having a great time in the Lord since I have updated this page. To many great things to remember and talk about them all on here right now. We came through a Blessed Holiday season with so many things to be thankful for, and for a savior who reings supreme in our lives. We had a burning of things people were convicted of on January 1st to begin our New Years revival with Bro. Jeffrey Dykes from Georgia. We have thourghly enjoyed having Bro. Jeffrey and Sis. Sherry and their family with us. Revival ended on the 13th with 4 people getting saved, I pray they will all stick with it. The Dykes will be headed out for Virginia on Thursday morning and we hate to say goodbye to them.

The church is doing well, the bus ministry is picking up and God is moving greatly in our services. That's about sums it up. Until next time, may God richly Bless you all!

07/08

Here we are halfway to Christmas already!! Can't believe how quickly this year is moving right along. Well, let's see, since I was on here last to update, we had our first tent revival. What a wonderful time it was! We had 7 people pray through that week. Some were family of church members and then others were just from the community that happened to be walking by or such. One night, God used Bro. Nathan to actually go into the street and compell a young man to come to the alter. The Lord saved him that night. He was in a difficult situation at home and God directed this young man to our tent revival  just during a walk to clear his mind. God is Faithfull!

Our church kids have been enjoying several youthcamps so far this summer with one more left to attend. So thankful for how the Lord helps our young people. They are our future generation! We love our church kids.

Already looking forward to fall, this HOT weather is just not for me :) Hopefully I'll be able to do updates faster than I did the last few times.

God bless you All!!

05/11/11

Once again, it has been a long time since I've put any news on here! There is just always so much going on. Good things though. We try to keep our young people busy doing things together. Church on Sunday, prayer meeting on Monday, Ball on Tuesday, Church on Wednesday, and whatever else comes up for the rest of the week. Sometimes we feel like we are doing too much, but the kids love it. I pray that we are keeping them from the evils in this world we live in. Last time I wrote any news, we were stuck inside durring the Oklahoma blizzard, things have changed so much since then. The grass is so lush and green, the birds are singing and new life has come to all the beautiful flowers God has so lovingly created for us. We are looking forward to out 5th Sunday service with Bro. Juneau and then a week later, we start our tent meeting with Bro Davy Boggs and family. This is our first tent meeting we have had here at Hilldale. At least as far as I know of. We are so excited to see what God's going to do for our community. May the Lord richly bless each and every one of you and forever hold you in the palm of His hand.

02/03/11

Well, it's been a while since I've been on here. We surely have plenty of time on our hands right now with this little blizzard that came through. Not going to many places right now. We are supposed to be in revival with Bro. Davy Boggs and family this week, but the weather had other plans. We had  glorious 5th Sunday service's though with 2 people getting saved! We were able to have revival Monday night with a great moving of the spirit. Afterwards, we had a good time of fellowship with the Boggs family. They are so much fun!! We haven't been out just a whole lot since the snow but we did walk across to the gym and played ping-pong and had hot chocolate with the evangelist. I actually beat Bro. Davy. Only one I beat all night!!  :)  Even though we've not been able to have revival this week because people can hardly get down our road, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Bro. Davy, Sis. Kelly and Sis. Odie more. We feel like we've known them always. I just love when you feel at home with someone. I wouldn't take for God's family. Can't wait to get to Heaven & meet a bunch more!

We did venture out today and took the Boggs to Ron's Hamburger Joint. Found out that's Bro. Davy's favorite polace in Tulsa. Even Odie got to get out in the weather today. I'm sure she was starting to get a little cabin fever. As I said, we are sad for revival being put off but to see 2 people come back to the Lord will have been worth it all, that's what it's all about. May the Lord richly bless each and every one of you and keep you safe through this snowy weather.

Love in Christ,

Sis. Stephanie

My, my! So much has happened since I've been with you! I just want to tell the world right here, right now that Bro. Nathan and myself Pastor the GREATEST church this side of Heaven, by no exageration. The church sent our family off to a resort for a week while the church people pulled together and had an Extreme Makeover on the Hilldale Parsonage. We had such a wonderful time of just resting and family fun. We could hardly wait to get home. We had no idea what all they really had planned to do. We didn't know how they would get all they said they were going to do done in a week, but they went above and beyond that! They recarpeted our house, brand new cabinets, tile, painting, cleaning. YOu name it, they done it. Someone even cleaned out my broken piano bench and fixed it for me!!   We were in amazement! We feel like we are living a new home. I want to say thank you to ALL of our church people who pulled together and worked so hard, and willingly at that. I know God is pleased when we work together in unity. As we had service this morning, you could just feel the unity brought on by working together as one. I know the Lord will bless each and everyone not just ten or even a hundred fold, but more than we can imagine. Looking forward to a new year coming on and anxious to see what God is going to do at Hilldale Holiness Church. Thanks to everyone for supporting our website. May God bless you all,

Sis. Stephanie

Here we are, already into fall! Can't believe I haven't been on in so long. We have definitely been busy. The Lord has been moving so great in our church. Last time I was on, we were about to embark on another youth camp journey, and it paid off as well. All but one of our young people have recieved the Holy Ghost. The Lord has blessed us with a new couple in our church and we excited to see what the Lord's going to do with them. We are getting ready for another fall party and looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday. We do have so much to be thankful for. God bless you each and every one. May you have a blessed week.

Well, our fundraisers have paid off!! We have, so far, attended 2 youth camps, tonight being the last night of the second. So far, 3 of our young people have recieved the Holy Ghost, 2 have been refilled and we're believing for another filling tonight.  I am excited about what God is doing for our youth group. In my last section, I said about what God is going to do, now He's done it!! We have two more youth camps to look forward to, so we know God's not through yet. We are looking forward to our 4th of July celebration on Sat. evening. Our prayer is the we can be a witness for Hilldale Community by involving them in activities through our church. Pray for us. Lord willing, I will be back on here real soon to update some pages and make a few changes. Check back with us. We appreciate you supporting our web-site.

God Bless You All,

Sis. Stephanie

06/13/10

Hello to everyone. I appologize for the long absence. God has been doing great things for Hilldale in the last month and a half! We have been busy trying to get fundraisers done for our youth group to head out for youth camps this summer. We are very excited about what the Lord's going to do for our youth group.  We have just walked through a new door for our church, we have taken on a temporary opportunity of letting the Holiness Missions of America use our facilities to have church and dinner for the homeless in our area. We had our first service last Thursday night and, my, what a blessing! We are praying that when H.M.A. moves on, our church will pick up on this vision and go on with it. With the 4th of July quickly approaching, I just wanted to say Thank you to all of our veterans who fought for our freedom, but most importantly to our Lord and Savior for the freedom of our soul. Have a wonderful week in the Lord.

04/30/10

It's hard to believe we are right at the door to May! How the year is flying by. We had a special service for Sis. Audrey Case last Sunday for 49 years of service to Hilldale Church. What an example! May we all be that faithfull. Many of her family suprised her and showed up to be in church with her and have dinner afterwards. We had a wonderful time. I will be putting some pictures up of it real soon. We had our first youth night at church last Wed. and the kids all done a wonderful job. We had them play the instruments, lead singing and sing in the choir. Bro. Luke Armbrister preached our first youth night, what a testimony! He is proof that no matter what you go through in life, God is faithfull. All the campmeetings and youth camps are about to start, so I know we'll have alot more good news to bring in the future. May the Lord richly bless each one of you and forever hold you in the palm of His hand.

 04/06/10

It's been a while since I've updated. Life just gets to busy sometimes. I would like to report that my Mother, who has cancer for the third time, has recieved a wonderful report from the doctors that her cancer markers are normal! All the doctor knew to do was to congratulate her because something's working. We know what it is! God is faithful! Hope everyone had a blessed Easter while celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. I would like to have been at the tomb that day just to hear the angel say, "He is not here, He is risen!" What a blessed hope we have. God is still moving for Hilldale and we are looking forward to more ministries to come. The season is perfect for new beginnings! God Bless you all!

03/04/10

We are looking forward to spring! Things coming back to life, reminding us of the coming Easter season. Christ came back to life after conquering death, hell and the grave! What a wonderful time of year.  Bro. Nathan and I will be celebrating our 1 year Anniversary as Pastor at Hilldale on March 25th. What a wonderful year it has been . To see all that the Lord has done is like the spring season, seeing things come to new life. There's no other word for grace but amazing! We have been having some wonderful services, and just watching our new converts move up in the Lord has been so refreshing. Not just for Bro. Nathan and myself, but for the whole church. We are looking forward to more souls coming into the Kingdom. To God be all the glory!

02/14/10

We have had a wonderful week in the Lord! Bro. Aaron preached his first message last Wed. night and done a great job. The Lord moved around the alters and that's what it's all about. Bro. Nathan preached so good this morning and we're just looking for more from the Lord tonight. May you all have a wonderful Valentines day as you celebrate not only your loved ones, but also the greatest love story of all, Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord for being willing to die for our sins. I believe, as the song says, it wasn't the nails that held Jesus to that old rugged cross, it was love. God bless you all this week!

02/05/10

Bro. O.B. Carlton preached for us Wed. night, we had a Holy Ghost interupption! Such a wonderful message on praise and victory. The Holy Ghost showed up in such a great way. We are looking forward to more of Gods' moving for Sunday. One of our new converts will be preaching his first message at our church on Wed. Feb. 10th. Can't wait to see what God has in store for Bro. Aaron! The church was able to purchase a shuttle bus for future ministries and also for just doing things together as a church. We are very excited about this. Pray that God will bless our efforts and give us victory over this community. God Bless you all!

02/02/10

Thank the Lord for another year! We are looking forward to a rescheduled 5th Sunday service this coming weekend with Bro. Paul Snow. We received about 1/2 inch of ice and 6-8 inches of snow this last weekend. We still had a 2:00 Sunday service. The number was way down but Gods presence was still great! It's so wonderful that no matter the weather, God's always there. Reminds me of the song " no matter what the weather or wherever I may be, all I ask Lord is to be close to thee."

We are new to this website thing so please have patience with us as we try new things. God Bless you for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!
